My name is Susan. I live in Illinois south of Chicago.  I have lived in other states as well over the years, my absolute favorite of course was Hawaii.  And in the winter months I have this incredible desire to move back to Hawaii!!  I have recently remarried to a wonderful man.  I am a mother of two great sons, both in their twenties, a mother-in-law to one exceptional young woman, and step-mother to two great sons, both in their twenties as well.  From these four great sons, I have acquired many "adopted" children (their friends) all of whom I love dearly as my own.  I love spending time with every one of them.  I have three wonderful, beautiful and adorable grandchildren, that I absolutely love and adore, and without a doubt spoil rotten every chance that I get!!  I take academic classes both on-line with a university, and at the local community college.  I've been a student at the community college for well over 20 years off and on.  And one of these days, I will figure out what I want to be when I grow up.  Until then, I will keep taking classes because I love learning new things.
My passions are numerous, but to name a few; the obvious ones are anything that is health related, including medicine, exercise and nutrition.  I am also very fond of history, psychology, criminal justice, child development, animals - both domestic and wild, and anything related to senior citizens, especially on how to help them or protect them.  I love to read, I will read just about anything that I can get my hands on, as long as it is worth reading.  By that I mean, I won't read anything that I would consider to be obscene or pornographic.
The articles that I write are mostly geared toward the "majority", but a lot of times seem more for the senior citizens; and that's good because whether we are senior citizens now or not, the fact is we will be one day.  And every now and then I like to write and throw articles on my website that have absolutely nothing to do with seniors, health or nutrition.  Sometimes the articles are just for fun and laughs.  And laughter is the best medicine. That may be hard to "swallow" sometimes, but it is a true statement.
